Hilty Preschool and Child Care receives $1,500 grant for iPads
The Midwest Electric Community Connections Fund awarded the Hilty Preschool and Child Care, Pandora, with a grant of $1,500 at a presentation ceremony in St. Marys.
Hilty Preschool and Child Care made the request in order to provide eight iPads for the Preschool program. The grant was awarded on Feb. 5.
“When the children get to kindergarten, many of them will be using iPads as a learning tool,” said Heather Sanchez, preschool director. “In our preschool program we try to do everything we can to prepare the children for kindergarten so we are grateful to Midwest Electric for being a partner in our children’s’ education.”
Rob Begonia of Begonia Computer Services provided a significant discount to stretch the $1,500 gift, making it possible to purchase the eight iPads using the Community Connections grant.
To complete the project, $580 was allocated from the Brighter Lives Annual Campaign, a fundraising campaign of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.
