Margie Steinman was a Pandora-Gilboa HS graduate
Margie Sue Steinman, 73, died at 11:58 a.m. Feb. 17, 2015, at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was born Nov. 2, 1941, in Bluffton to the late J. Adrian and Marceil Hilty Eck. She was married to Jerry Steinman, and they were divorced and he preceded her in death.
She had been a receptionist at Hancock Family Services. She was a member of the Pandora United Methodist Church and a member of Parents Without Partners. She was a graduate of Pandora-Gilboa High School and attended Bluffton College.
She is survived by two daughters, Julie (Todd) Hager and Laurie (Danny Faulder) Steinman, both of Lima, a son, Douglas Steinman of Lima, two grandsons, Jacob (Tabitha) Hager of Lafayette, Bryan (Angeleca Truex) of Toledo, a sister, Merry (Gary) Long of Pandora, a stepsister, Judy (Don) Ferguson of Elida, a niece, Kathy (Jeff) Rutschilling and a nephew Scott (Tracy) Long, both of Pandora.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Fay Eck, her stepfather, Walter Harshman, a stepbrother, Bill Harshman and life friend, Cheryl Hauerman.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 28, at the Pandora United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Hollinger and Rev. Harry Scott will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
