Baked potato from Henry's voted number 1 at Maple Crest soup cook-off
What's your favorite soup?
Henry’s, Ottawa, providing baked potato soup, won this year’s Maple Crest Senior Living Village of Bluffton, soup cook-off.
Second place was Luke’s Bar and Grill, Bluffton, with tomato basil Parmesan bisque soup. Third place was Apollo Career Center, Lima, with cream cheese chicken chili soup.
Others soup entries were from Bluffton Hospital, Common Grounds of Bluffton, Touches from the Heart of Ottawa, and W.g. Grinders of Lima.
Over 150 persons attended and cast ballots for their favorite soup.
Those attending received a discount on their meal price if they donated a canned good for the Bluffton Community Assistance Program. In all, 116 canned and boxed food items were collected to assist the food pantry.
