Chamber offers free "social media speeding dating" workshop March 13
Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce offers a “speed dating social media” program during its 7 a.m., Friday, March 13, breakfast meeting in the third floor of the town hall. A social media workshop will follow the program.
Four Bluffton University students, who are chamber members, will present the program. Tables at the breakfast will be arranged in four clusters. Each student will give a seven-minute presentation at each table cluster during the program.
Student presenters and their social media topics are:
• Emily Huxman – Instagram
• Tim Pitonyak – Pinterest
• Marisa Jones – Facebook
• Charles Miller – Dropbox and LinkedIn
The presentations will focus on how these social medias may be used to enhance chamber member businesses. The program is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Social media workshop at 8:45 a.m.
Following a brief recess, at 8:45 a.m. the students will lead a social media workshop sponsored by the chamber and Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs.
The workshop will serve as a social media question-answer session. Chamber member have the option of one free social media consultation with any of the students later this spring. The free consultation is a chamber benefit.
Bluffton and Ada Icons sponsor the March chamber breakfast. The breakfast provider is the Bluffton Hospital café.
