Dawn Jones, RN Named BVHS Associate of the Year, Nominated for Ohio Health Care Worker of the Year Award
Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) has named Dawn Jones, RN the BVHS associate of the year and has nominated her for the Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award, presented by the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA).
Jones works as a registered nurse in the Surgery Department at Bluffton Hospital. A BVHS associate for the past 14 years, her role includes assisting during surgeries, helping patients recover in the post-anesthesia care unit and cleaning and stocking the operating room.
Outside of work, she is active in her church youth group and takes part in mission trips. Dawn and her husband, Mark, have been married for 21 years and have one daughter named Emily.
Each year, the Health Care Worker of the Year award is given by the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) to an employee of an Ohio hospital or health care system. The award recognizes a hospital employee who demonstrates leadership, reflects the values and ideals of Ohio’s health care facilities, goes above and beyond the call of duty, gives back to the community and has overcome odds to succeed.
The recipient and four finalists for the OHA award will be announced at the annual OHA Recognition Dinner in Columbus on June 9.
