Duck races and lots more at Saturday's Riley Creek Fest'
Bluffton University will host the annual Riley Creek Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 11, in the Sommer Center.
Open to the public, the event is free except for lunch, which costs $9 for community members.
The festival will feature family-friendly inflatables, a balloon artist, music, games and other activities, concluding with the traditional rubber duck race on Riley Creek. Rubber ducks will be sold for $1 each, with proceeds to benefit the Allen County Humane Society. Duck race winners will receive prizes donated by local businesses.
FESTIVAL SCHEDULE:
11 a.m.: Riley Creek Festival begins (Entry is free)
11 a.m.: Brass Quintet performs
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Lunch ($9 for community members, or a meal swipe)
12 p.m.: Improv Troup performs
1 p.m.: Safe Kept performs
2 p.m.: Anabaptist Bestiary Project performs
3:30 p.m.: "Boarding passes" drawn for prizes
4 p.m.: Rubber duck race in the Riley Creek! Ducks cost $1. Top winning ducks get prizes from local businesses. Proceeds benefit the Allen County Humane Society
4:30 p.m.: Events close
