Spring is here and that means the end of the school year is quickly approaching. 

The PTO committee has been busy discussing and working on many projects we want to complete before the end of the school year. 

We will be providing $400 for each grade level (K through 5th) to purchase new accelerated reader books; a total of $2400. 

We will be purchasing three SmartBoards, along with USB cables, for three of the third grade classrooms.  One classroom was completed previously.  The cost will be around $4758. 

We are going to help with purchasing supplies for the two new Kindergarten rooms for next year.  The second grade classrooms have requested our assistance in purchasing 1 1/2" binders for their students in the next school year. 

With the Kindergarten zoo trip coming up in early May, we will help with the cost of each child's admission, along with the charges for the buses to park.  We provided the fourth grade classrooms with their request of new privacy shields and storage units.  We purchased emesis bags for all classrooms and our custodial staff. 

There are many surprises planned for the entire elementary school staff during Teacher Appreciation Week which is May 4 through 8th.  You will be able to read about the surprises in the May school newsletter. 

On April 9th, we provided an assembly called Mime Time for all the students due to their achievement of reaching the school goal of 50,000 Box Tops this year!  The total number submitted was 53,417, resulting in a profit of $5341.70 for PTO. Thank you so much for helping the school achieve this.  

With Sunny D UPC labels turned in by you, we were able to receive numerous Scholastic books for different grade levels.  Don't forget to continue to collect the items we turn in for reimbursement over the summer.  

Market Day has continued to draw winner each month from the people who have purchased Market Day products.  Continue to purchase Market Day products as you could be a lucky $25 Visa gift card winner.  Thank you to all of you who purchased items from our Spring Spirit Wear sale.  We appreciate it, as does Ideal Images.  

Thank you to our volunteer who helped with Spring Picture Day and thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer at the Scholastic Book Fair. We are truly blessed in this wonderful school with parents, families, and friends who support our committee, allowing us to do what we do for the school.
