Shannon Service Club accepting donations for downtown flags
The S.H.A.N.N.O.N. (Sharing Hopes And Nourishing Needs Of Neighbors) Service Club of Bluffton invites Icon viewers decorate Main Street of Bluffton with American flags flying in the wind, according to Duane Bollenbacher of the club.
• The purchase of flags is open to businesses, organizations or to individuals.
• For $25 per flag, persons can be the sponsor of a flag on Main Street this summer.
• For each flag sponsored, you may name someone who you wish to honor or memorialize.
• Your name and honoree will be publicly acknowledged in The Bluffton News, on the Bluffton Icon, and on the S.H.A.N.N.O.N. post in front of the Citizens National Bank on Main Street.
A form for sponsoring a flag (or more) is shown below. For more information, contact Duane Bollenbacher at 419-358-7365.
