C-R girls soccer team to hold color run 5k May 30
The Cory-Rawson High School girls soccer team will hold a color run as a fundraiser May 30 at Cory-Rawson High School.
During the race, colored paint powder (colored cornstarch) is thrown at participants, covering them in colors. Anyone who is capable of running or walking a 5k is welcome to run our 5k Color Run, while children 10 years old and younger are welcome to run in our Kid’s Color Run. Any child under the age of 12 entering in the 5k Color Run must be accompanied by an adult. After registration, confirmation and information on parking, route, locations, etc., will be sent to participants. There is no extra charge for anyone bringing strollers, and wagons, but pets are not allowed.
The kids' color run begins at 10:30 a.m. and the 5K color run begins at 11 a.m. Participants must wear white shirts, and are encouraged to wear eye protection (sunglasses or goggles) and may want to wear a bandana to protect against inhaling the powder.
All children entered in the kids' run will be supervised throughout the run by student volunteers, although parents are still permitted to run with their children. An adult must accompany children 12 years old and younger in the 5k run. Participants should arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the race to check in. Be at the starting line at least 10 minutes before the race. Please plan ahead, there will be lines at the check-in.
Parking will be located in front of the school while check-in and the start of the race will be around back. Signs will be posted.
