Sunday afternoon is your chance to hear about John Dillinger's visit to Bluffton in 1933
You probably never met John Dillinger, but the next best thing – or worst thing – to Public Enemy number 1 will visit Bluffton on Sunday.
John Carnes of Lima, a Dillinger expert, will give several short descriptive talks about the John Dillinger bank robbery that took place on Main Street Bluffton in August of 1933.
Carnes will provide the talks during the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA) visit to Bluffton on Sunday. His talks will start at 2 p.m. – he will repeat these a couple times during the afternoon.

The free presentations take place on the corner of Main and Church, near the exact spot that the bank was robbed.
The Dillinger presentation is one of several activities on Sunday during GOBA.
GOBA will bring 2,000+ bicyclists to Bluffton on Father’s Day. They will spend the day in town and will camp overnight at Bluffton University. On Monday riders will head to Defiance.
Main Street will be closed from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Closing takes place from the Main-Church intersection to the Citizens National Bank parking lot. Musical entertain will take place and the stores in the block will be open.
