Bluffton Farmers' Market solves your craving for biscotti, jam or jelly
A new vendor to this year’s Bluffton Farmers’ Market is the Brown family from Lima. Customers know them best as Sweet Dream Gourmet.
Their specialty: homemade jams and biscotti.
According to Julie Brown, the business is six years old and it also has a vendor booth at several other area farmers markets.
Expect to find lots of different jams, jellies and biscotti at the booth. Specifically: (may vary from one week to the next):
• Cranberry swirl biscotti
• Carmel apple jam
• Apple pie jam
• Christmas jam
• Caramel apple butter
• Pumpkin caramel butter
“Each is handcrafted in small batches in my home kitchen,” says Julie. “I offer an extensive variety of flavors, with an emphasis on the unusual.”
She says that while each customer has her own taste, top sellers include lemon pecan gluten free biscotti and jalapeno jelly.
When we talked with Julie she had just sold out of strawberry rhubarb jam for the day, also a popular item.
“I always have had a passion for baking and putting up preserves,” she said. “My family is my quality control department.”
