Bluffton has never been the same since the Golden Swingers left town
You may consider yourself a swinger, but area you a "golden swinger?"

As the Bluffton Senior Center’s front window display commemorates its 45th anniversary, its former Golden Swinger Band takes center stage this month in the Center's window.
The band was started by Vera Core in 1979. She was director of the Senior Center at the time and thought a band would be a fun activity for the members.
The Golden Swingers Band played in parades, at nursing homes and assisted living facilities, fairs and schools. For 28 years the band was a fixture of the Senior Center.
In 2007, with the band members aging and no new members joining, it disbanded.
"We still miss the music and laughter the band brought to the Senior Center. Lenore Reiter, former band member, helped with the decorating of the window, which includes instruments and props used by the band over the years," said Tonya Meyer, Center director.
