Bluffton Family Recreation announces two August tournaments and sign-up for an August basketball league, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

Overnight softball tournament
BFR will host an overnight softball tournament held in Cairo on Friday, Aug. 14. Games start at 7 p.m. Cost per team is $200 and the registration deadline is Saturday, Aug. 1. Players must be 18 or older by June 30. At the registration, teams must provide payment and a team roster.

Adult co-ed sand volleyball tournament
BFR will host a best-of-three adult coed sand volleyball tournament Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Bluffton University sand volleyball courts. Games begin at noon. Teams must have at least three women on the court at all times. Rally scoring takes place and team members must be 18 as of Aug. 1. Cost per team is $100 and the registration deadline is Saturday, Aug. 15.

Adult men’s basketball league
BFR is accepting registrations for an adult men’s basketball league. Registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 14. Play will begin Monday, Aug. 17, with games at 7 and 8 p.m. at BFR. At the registration, team must provide payment and a team roster. Players must be 18 or older by Aug. 1. OHSAA rules will be used in the league.
