Drop everything and plan to attend National Night Out at swimming pool - Tuesday
• Nashville Crush Trio performs from 8-9:30 p.m.
• Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Bluffton's second National Night Out is from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 4, at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool, according to Matt Oglesbee of the Bluffton police department.
The department, in conjunction with the Pandora Police Department are in charge of the event and the Bluffton, Beaverdam and Pandora fire and EMS departments will participate.
Oglesbee said, "The Bluffton, Pandora, and Beaverdam communities are all invited to attend. Last year we had a great turnout with almost 500 residents. We hope to have more attend this year."
"The purpose of National Night Out is to build strong partnerships between the police departments and the communities they serve," he added
There will be lots of activities and a free meal and snacks will also be provided.

Patriotic Music will be broadcast on Bluffton University Radio Station 96.1 FM.
About National Night Out
Annually, over 15,000 communities across the United States join forces and celebrate National Night Out. A nation-wide attendance of 37 million people from all 50 states, U.S. Territories, Canadian cities and military bases world-wide will come together in an effort to promote a Police Community Partnership through crime, drug, and violence awareness and prevention and neighborhood unity. National Night Out is celebrated each year on the first Tuesday of August.
