Sept. 26 scholarship fundraiser in memory of "The Voice" - Stan Hunt
A scholarship fundraiser in memory of the late Stan Hunt is planned from 7 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, in the former Beaverdam school building, 303 West St, Beaverdam. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The event includes:
• 50/50 raffle
• Bring your own beer
• Dance to Chez Cheese
Tickets are available at Luke’s Bar and Grill, Bluffton. Tickets are also available by calling 419-236-8958.
Admission is by $20 donation in advance and $25 at the door. This event is for adults. Persons attending must be 21 or a teenager with ticket accompanied by an adult. No children will be admitted.
Mr. Hunt, 51, died Dec. 11, 2014. He had coached girls’ basketball and softball teams for BFR and Bluffton Diamond Sports. He was the announcer "The Voice" for Bluffton girls’ basketball and volleyball games.
He sang the national anthem at many of the games. He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton, where he was past president of church council and sang in the choir.
