Ada's Zac Dysert now a Houston Texan
Ada sports fans are dumping Bronco jerseys. They briefly traded those for Bears' jerseys. Now they are wearing Houston Texan jerseys.
As of Sept. 6, former Ada High School football standout Zac Dysert is now a Houston Texan.
The Texans signed Dysert to their practice squad one day after placing quarterback Tom Savage on injured reserve with a severely sprained shoulder.
Dysert was cut by the Broncos during the preseason when he was beaten out by rookie Trevor Siemian and was briefly with the Chicago Bears.
Here's his Chicago story:
Chicago Bears backup quarterback Jimmy Clausen had a concussion and the team made a move to give themselves some more help at the position.
Earlier this month Dysert's agent Mike McCartney announced that Dysert was claimed off waivers by Chicago. Shortly after that Houston Texans picked up Dysert.
