Still time to join the BHS homecoming parade - it starts earlier this year
Bluffton High School Football Moms says there's still time for community groups to join the 2015 high school homecoming parade on Friday, Oct. 2.
The parade starts earlier this year due to the new 7 p.m. starting time for conference games.
PARADE FORMS: 5:15 P.M.
PARADE STARTS: 5:45 P.M.
Here's info for groups with floats:
If you have a float, try to have participants loaded on the float prior to getting to Snider Road. You could meet at the high school parking lot. This will help with the traffic flow.
Enter Snider Road from the Buckeye Park/Sportsmen's Club side. The parade will start at 5:45 p.m. The route is from the Centre, south on Main, to College, and on to Harmon Field.
"We are looking for groups, organizations, and churches, to be a part of this year's parade. Floats and vehicles supporting the community are invited," say the Football Moms.
Give-a-ways are encouraged (candy or small items), but all items must be handed out by walkers, not thrown from participating vehicles or floats.
