It's getting closer - but still time to enter the Blaze parade
With the theme “A Christmas from the Past,” the 2015 Bluffton Blaze of Lights is getting ready for its Saturday, Nov. 28, launch.
The event, sponsored by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, should bring several thousand visitors to Bluffton.
Here’s the latest update:
Saturday, Nov. 28 schedule – all events on Main Street
• 4 to 5 p.m. – Parade forms at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool and The Centre on Snider Road
• 4 to 5 p.m. – Ice Creations from Napoleon will carve a Christmas decoration from a large block of ice
• 5 to 6 p.m. – Blaze of Lights parade travels from Snider Road, down Main Street to College Avenue and turns to Harmon Road
• 6 p.m. – Horse and wagon rides – embark and depart from Common Grounds
• Ticket sales begin earlier hosted by SHANNON Service Club
• 6 p.m. – Romick Railroad rides for kids in front of Greg’s Pharmacy
• 6 to 7 p.m. – Entertainment on Main Street
• Dancers’ Elite dance troupe
• Bluffton High School show choir
• Jim Boedicker
• 6:50 to 7 p.m.
• Reading of the Christmas story from Luke 2 by John George
• Interview with Ronald McDonald
• Interview with “switch-hitter” (person to be announced later)
• 7 p.m. Ream holiday folk art display lights turned on
• 7 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus meet children of all ages in Bluffton Senior Center
• 6 p.m. – Gift of Giving Light Show on East College Avenue opens for the season
