Bluffton Good Samaritan Women's Group organizing this fall
A volunteer group interested in helping Bluffton people in need is organizing this fall.
The group is “Bluffton Good Samaritan Women’s Group,” according to Andrea Dailey. Its purpose is to serve people in need who live in Bluffton and the greater Bluffton community.
“We are here to connect anyone in need in the community with those willing to help,” Dailey told The Icon.
Here’s how it works: When a need is identified, either by someone needing assistance, or by a friend of the person in need, that need can be reported to the group via Facebook or by phoning or texting Dailey.
She said, “The message asking for assistance is sent out to the volunteers. Whom ever responds will take on the need. Needs can vary from running an errand, raking leaves, making a meal for someone ill, or something similar.”
“We are looking for new volunteers and new needs every day,” she said.
Persons interested in volunteering or needing more information about the group may call Dailey at 419-296-7310 or by e-mail at: [email protected]
