The students were engaged in many educational lessons and activities while at school. During school day hours seventh grade students discovered the food chains in the outdoor, identified various parts of a tree and discovered the age of the tree, participated in a healthy ecosystem scavenger hunt, created water filters for water purification, discovered a healthy pond by using its macro-organisms, and learned how to survive in the wilderness.
During the early evening the students went canoeing, fishing, played volleyball and kickball, archery, and made homemade paper during arts and crafts.
The Outdoor School took many teachers, parents and education students from the University of Findlay.
