BVHS joining National #GivingTuesday Movement to encourage community gifts of time, talent and treasure
Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) is joining #GivingTuesday, a nationwide effort that harnesses the collective power of individuals, families, businesses and non-profits to make a difference in the lives of others.
Taking place Dec. 1, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday follows Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, which are days synonymous with holiday shopping, as a day meant for holiday giving. BVHS is encouraging area individuals and businesses to consider giving gifts of either their time, talent or treasure to continually advance our local health care services.
The focus of this year’s BVHS #GivingTuesday effort will be cancer care services within Blanchard Valley Health System. Community members are needed to serve as volunteers at the new Armes Family Cancer Care Center and our EasternWoods Outpatient Center, and those with ties to the arts are needed to provide healing arts services to interested cancer patients (time and talent).
In addition, funds are being collected to support the continued advancement of cancer care services within BVHS (treasure).
To learn more about this effort, visit bvhealthsystem.org/givingtuesday or our Facebook page at facebook.com/blanchardvalleyhealthsystem.
BVHS supporters will be posting throughout the end of November about why they choose be Cancer Care Champions by giving to BVHS.
If you would like to post about giving your time, talent or treasure to BVHS on social media, utilize #GivingTuesday and #BVHSGiving.
