Chappell-Dick to run in NCAA Division III cross country champs Nov. 21
Hannah Chappell-Dick, a Bluffton High School graduate and a senior at Eastern Mennonite University, has qualified for the 2015 Division III NCAA Cross Country Championships in Winneconne, Wisc. The meet takes place Saturday, Nov. 21. The top 35 finishers earn All-American status.
For Chappell-Dick, this race represents the end of her collegiate cross country career. Despite specializing as a middle distance runner in track, Chappell-Dick won four of her cc meets this fall, including the ODAC Championships. She is participating in her second national cross country meet, to go with three national track meets and two All-America titles from track.
Her best 6k time this year is 22:00.5 from the Paul Short Run on October 2. That time would have placed her 13th at last year's NCAA race, which had a winning time of 20:51.9.

Note that the meet takes place in the Central time zone, and official race times are noon Eastern for the women and 1 p.m. Eastern for the men.
Chappell-Dick is the daughter of Wendy and Andy Chappell-Dick, Bluffton, and the granddaughter of Terry and Bobbie Chappell.
