Bluffton's newest business, Li Co Chinese and Italian Restaurant, opens Nov. 30
Bluffton’s newest business, Li Co Chinese and Italian Restaurant, will open for business on Monday, Nov. 30.
Located in the former Bluffton KFC Restaurant, 415 State Route 103, Bluffton, the restaurant will be open seven days a week.
Wen and Cheng Tsai of Lima are the owners. The couple will work in all aspects of the business including the kitchen. In addition, Allen Chu, who also has several years of restaurant background in Taiwan, is the restaurant’s Italian chef.
“By offering both Chinese and Italian we are trying to offer more choices for customers,” said Wen, who has 27 years in the restaurant business herself – seven in Taiwan and 20 in the U.S.
As a grand opening gift to customers all items on the menu will be 15 percent off during December.
The restaurant can seat up to 70 persons. It will also accept take-out orders and a drive-up window is available for those orders.
The new owners’ interest in opening a restaurant in Bluffton began two years ago. Since this past summer a complete inside remodeling has taken place.
As for the restaurant name, “We wanted something easy to pronounce,” said Wen. “We didn’t want the name to sound too Chinese or too Italian. Li Co was the name we chose.”
Wen says that there are some openings for waiters and waitresses. Persons interested should contact her at the restaurant.
The Chinese menu includes:
• Appetizers
• Soup
• Fried rice
• Noodles (lo-mein)
• Chicken
• Pork
• Beef

The Italian menu includes:
• Appetizers
• Kid’s meal
