Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio promoting #GivingTuesday; here's how you can participate
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) is joining thousands across the world who promote #GivingTuesday on Dec. 1.
“We are grateful to be part of a generous community which volunteers, visits, contributes and prays for the elders and staff of MHCO,” stated Doug Luginbill, Director of Resource Development and Church Relations.
“One way to share this holiday season is with a gift in memory or honor of an elder who has been an influence in your life. As this is MHCO’s 60th year of providing purposeful living to the elders of our communities, we are seeking 60 gifts before midnight on Dec. 1,” Luginbill added.
(Luginbill suggested considering a gift of $60; $1 for each year that Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio has been serving the elders of our communities.)
For elders living at Hilty Home, Mennonite Memorial Home, Willow Ridge or Maple Crest, a personalized #GivingTuesday greeting card will be created and hand delivered for each elder who has a gift given in their honor on Tuesday, Dec. 1 between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m.
These gifts will support the overall mission and ministry of MHCO as part of their larger $60,000 Brighter Lives Annual Campaign goal.
