Libby Schmenk was a Pandora High School graduate
Catherine Elizabeth "Libby" Schmenk, 86, died Dec. 11, 2015, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. Libby was born Jan. 6, 1929 in Bluffton to the late Dave and Ethel (Owens) Fisher. On Sept. 27, 1952, she married Leo T. Schmenk who preceded her in death on April 21, 1986.
Libby was a homemaker. She had also worked at Triplett Corporation, Bluffton. Libby was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. She was a 1946 graduate of Pandora High School.
Survivors include two sons, David Schmenk of Bluffton, Steve (Stacia) Schmenk of Pandora; four grandchildren Stephanie (Gary) Tozbikian of Columbus, Samantha Schmenk of Bluffton, Seth Schmenk of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Silas Schmenk of Pandora; two great-granddaughters, Valerie and Evelyn Tozbikian; and two cousins, Anne Parker of Put-in-Bay, Ohio and Georgia Misamore of Texas.
Libby was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Schmenk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. Father John Stites officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 - 6 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton where a wake service will take place at 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or the American Heart Association.
