Donald Sterrett 1956-2015
Donald Guy Sterrett, 59, of Bluffton died at 12:40 p.m., Dec. 25, 2015, at Lima Memorial Health System. Donald was born Nov. 11, 1956, in Lima to the late Cyril and Dorothy Bockey Sterrett. On Dec. 1, 1979 he married Lynda Badertscher Sterrett and she survives.
Don was an electrical supervisor at Materion Brush, Elmore. He attended Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. He was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School and Owens Tech. College.
Survivors also include two sons, Matthew (Christy) Sterrett of Bluffton, Scott Sterrett of Royal Oak, Mich., a granddaughter, Madelyn Sterrett, Brother, Norman (Patricia) Sterrett of Finksburg, Md., brother, James Sterrett of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., brother, Damian (Janet) Sterrett of Lima, sister, Carol (Henry) Schroeder of Findlay, brother, John (Karen) Sterrett of Saucier, Miss., sister, Lynn (Ronald) Kennedy of Sterling, Va., brother, Chris Sterrett of Lima, and brother, Mark Sterrett of Huntsville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane (James) Holcomb and a sister-in-law, Rose Sterrett.
Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Rev. Karen Rarey will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Promise at Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com
