Bluffton Soccer Club spring registration winds down this week as the online registration deadline is Saturday, Jan. 16, according to Ron Koontz of the club.

Bluffton Soccer teams participate in the Black Swamp Soccer League, part of the Ohio Youth Soccer Association North.

Teams are recreational/Travel (NWOYSL) and players from area school districts are welcome (as long as their community does not have an existing program for that season).

Koontz said, "We average around 210 youth ages 8 through 19 playing on Bluffton's organized teams. They play teams from other communities in northwestern Ohio."

U8 and U10 home matches are played at Ebenezer Mennonite Church. U12 and U15 home matches are played at Citizens National Bank (off I-75). U19 games are played at Bluffton village park.

Two soccer referee clinics are held at The Centre, Bluffton on Feb. 17 and Feb. 19 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
