No action anticipated Monday on vacant council seat
Although its not yet mulch season, Bluffton council received two quotes for brush dump grinding this winter. Bids are from Winter Go Green, Findlay, for $21,225, and Park Enterprise Construction, Marion, for $15,650.
Park informed council that they are able to perform the work as early as two weeks from the acceptance of the quote. Action on awarding a contract is anticipated at Monday's Bluffton council meeting.
Much of Monday's meeting is beginning-of-the-year routinee business. The agenda does not list anticipated action on naming a sixth council member. Council is operating currently with a five-member council and is reviewing candidates for the opening sixth seat.
David Steiner, whose seat expired on Dec. 31 has indicated that he is interested in the post. Council did not appoint him during their first meeting of the year after a 2-2 vote.
Council's agenda is in an attachment at the bottom of this story.
