Council will hear good news on Monday concerning TTHM levels in Blufton water
A Jan. 21 report from the Bluffton council’s utility committee includes good news concerning the monitoring of Trihalomethane (TTHM) levels in water samples taken from Ethan Circle and Maple Crest.
The report is part of Monday's council meeting.
According to minutes from the utility committee:
“The numbers on Ethan Circle came back at 38.2 and previously it was at 93.7. Also at Maple Crest the recent number was 37.6 and previously was at 74.9.
“While there is still some tweaking to these, initial numbers look good.
“We still need to have a validation protocol in February where we turn the system off and take samples and then turn the system back on and then re-take samples.”
(Note: An extensive report in the council agenda packet, an attachment to this story provides additional information and more details concerning TTHM quarterly sampling and TRS validation protocol in Bluffton’s water supply.)
Several additional items are on Monday’s council agenda and those items are listed in the attachment to this story.
