Bluffton Public Library designates computer for ESL learners
Bluffton Public Library now features a computer reserved for English language learners. This English as a Second Language (ESL) Education Station is located on the library’s main floor, and may be accessed with a library card or current, government-issued photo ID.
The station includes earbuds for in-library use as well as free paper and writing utensils for note-taking. Guides with suggested websites for online English activities are also located at this station.
While the library does not have an ESL instructor at this time, current library staff members may show station users how to navigate the computer’s start-up software and how to reach the internet to access online activities. Otherwise, this station is meant to be utilized for independent activity.
There are also ESL library materials on display and available for check out with a library card for the months of January and February.
For more information, call 419-358-5016 during open hours or email [email protected].
