Women's Center highlight feature of Blanchard Valley Health Foundation newsletter
The recently announced Women's Center at Bluffton Hospital is the feature article in the current Blanchard Valley Health Foundation's newsletter.
The article follows:
Bluffton Hospital, part of Blanchard Valley Health System, will be embarking on a $4.5 million expansion of services. This expansion includes the development of a Women’s Center of Bluffton Hospital, which will be located within the walls of the current facility.
New services available at Bluffton Hospital will include:
Robotic-assisted surgery - addition of a daVinci robot in Bluffton
Pelvic pain center – multispecialty center treating pelvic pain in both men and women
Medical spa – offering skin rejuvenation, therapeutic massage and more
Expansion will also be offered of existing services, including gynecological surgery, obstetrics services and cosmetic surgery. In addition, imaging, laboratory and electrocardiogram (EKG) services will be moved to a renovated area beside the medical clinic, allowing for easy access to ancillary testing following clinic provider visits.
“Over the years, BVHS has made several significant investments into expanding services at Bluffton Hospital, most recently for the emergency room, surgical services and clinic space,” said Chris Keller, Bluffton Hospital chief administrative officer.
“Always vowing to provide quality health care to the region through the doors of Bluffton Hospital, the addition of the Women’s Center is another way BVHS is keeping its promise to the Bluffton community. Our goal is to continue to make the investments needed to secure and ensure local, superior health care for future generations.”
The new Women’s Center will be a featured service line while Bluffton Hospital maintains the array of services that have been previously offered to the community. Services will be added throughout 2016, with construction completing and all services being open to the community in 2017.
Opportunities for project support are available at all levels including designated service line areas, and also for individual room recognitions.
