Show your community spirit - enter a team in this summer's Bluffton Community Olympics
Teams are forming for this summer’s Bluffton Community Olympics set for Saturday, July 30. Team sign-up deadline is May 31.
Bluffton Family Recreation in cooperation with the Village of Bluffton and the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will hold the Olympics.
Team details
Teams from businesses, organizations, families, neighbors or friends may enter. A 10-member team with five men and five women can enter for $350. Team members must be 18 or older. Proceeds from the Olympics will benefit the BFR’s new turf and equipment fund.
Partnerships available
BFR invites businesses, organizations and groups to become Olympic partners by contributing $500 or more toward the event. Partners may enter a team at no charge, will be recognized several ways and will assist in helping with the Olympics.
Sponsor invitations
BFR offers sponsors for the event. Sponsors will run specific events and judge the event. Sponsors will also award prizes representing their business to the top three place winners in their event.
Olympic events
The Olympics has eight events. From two to four team members participate in each event. The obstacle course at the conclusion of the Olympics will include all team members.
Morning events:
50-meter inner tube relay race
Corn hole tournament
Trail run
Sand volleyball
Afternoon events:
Shuffleboard
Basketball H.O.R.S.E competition
Horseshoes
Obstacle course
