Farmers' market vendor meeting April 5; market opening date May 7
The 2016 Bluffton Farmers’ Market season is one month away.
The Bluffton Farmers’ Market invites interested vendors to an information meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall, according to Greg Probst, market manager.
The market’s opening date is Saturday, May 7, in the Citizens National Bank parking lot on South Main Street, Bluffton. This is the market’s 12th season.
The market will be open each Saturday from May 7 through the last Saturday of October. Market hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The April 5 vendor meeting includes a presentation from the Allen County Health Department, which covers some of the market rules and regulations.
Vendor’s fees remain at $10 per week, which is the same as last year. Vendors who attend the April 5 meeting can reserve a vendor spot for the entire season by paying for the season at the meeting.
The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce operates the market. A market subcommittee includes Phil Zimmerly of Common Grounds, Larry Hoffman of First National Bank, Peter Suter of Shirley’s Popcorn, Fred Steiner, chamber director, and Probst.
Persons wanting additional information about the market may contact the director at [email protected].
