Homer Miller was a WWII Army Air Force pilot
Homer Edward Miller, 92, died April 28, 2016, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Homer was born May 27, 1923 in Gomer, Ohio, to the late Homer and Cecile (Rigdon) Miller who preceded him in death. On May 2, 1947, he married Dorothy (Davis) Miller who survives.
Homer was a lifetime farmer and retired as a tool and die maker from Superior Coach in Lima. He was a pilot in the Army Air Force during World War II. Homer was a 60-year member of the Masonic Lodge #72 in Delphos and member of the Allen County Farm Bureau. He was a graduate of Gomer High School.
Survivors also include a daughter, Sandy Miller of Lima; a son, Stan Miller of Blue Creek, Ohio; a grandson, Gregg (Candace and Mason) Miller; a granddaughter, Jami (Pradepe) Kumar; and two great-grandchildren, Anjali and Arya Kumar.
Homer was preceded in death by and three brothers and four sisters.
Services will be held Saturday April 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at English Lutheran Church, Bluffton. Pastor Kevin Mohr officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos following the service.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to English Lutheran Church.
