Louise Cantwell volunteered over 2,000 hours at Bluffton Hospital
A. Louise Cantwell, 91, died April 27, 2016, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Louise was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Three Rivers, Michigan, to the late Lester and June (Baxter) Luse. On April 29, 1950, she married Leslie Cantwell, Jr. who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1989.
Louise was a bank teller at Citizens National Bank, Bluffton and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bible Fellowship Church of Arlington. Louise volunteered at Bluffton Hospital where she volunteered over 2,000 hours. Louise was a graduate of Three Rivers High School and attended Moody Bible Institute.
Survivors include three sons, Stephen (Connie) Cantwell of Avondale, Arizona, Jonathan Cantwell of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Roger (Judy) Cantwell of Findlay; a daughter, Virginia (Tim) Sheidler of Greenwood, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Sean (Andrea) Cantwell of Phoenix, Arizona, Nathan (Romy) Cantwell of Germany, Carrie (Chad) Buckridge of Bozeman, Montana, Dustin Cantwell of Denver, Colorado, Jason (Megan) Maher of Rocky River, Ohio, Jodi (Jacob) Huntoon of Bonita Springs, Florida, Jonathan (Ann) Sheidler of Fishers, Indiana, Melanie (Michael) Pignotti of Warsaw, Indiana; eleven great grandchildren, Isabella and William Cantwell, Jack, Emma and Sebastian Maher, Kate, Lia and Abigail Sheidler; Clair and Hudson Huntoon and Weston Pignotti.
Louise was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lili Kokaly; and three sisters, Alice Scott, Harriet Freese and Marian Swihart.
Services will be held Monday May 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Jerry Kellogg officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery, Bluffton following the service. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Memorial Home or Bible Fellowship Church of Arlington.
