Bluffton resident among Lima Electrical Professionals apprentice graduates
Shanon Hauenstein of Bluffton is among 12 graduating apprentices of the Lima Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee honored with a dinner at Casa Lu Al on Saturday, May 7.
The graduates have undergone a five year apprenticeship program consisting of both classroom instruction and on-the-job training to learn the skills required to become master craftsmen.
“Our apprenticeship program is a fantastic career path,” says training coordinator Jerry Dickrede. “The training is completely paid for by the employers, so our apprentices are graduating with no student debt. All of them have already secured high paying jobs as electricians, and their training has earned them college credits that they can use to further their education if they so desire.”
The JATC is a joint partnership of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 32 and the National Electrical Contractors Association. It serves Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Shelby, Van Wert and Wyandot Counties.
