Free movie showing of "In Transition 2.0" on Sunday
There will be a free public showing of the movie "In Transition 2.0" on Sunday, May 15, at 7 p.m.in the Bluffton town hall, third floor. The movie will be followed by discussion for anyone interested.
The Transition movement, sometimes know as "Transition Towns," is made up of
local groups around the world.
It brings communities of people together who want to create a positive and locally based response to such problems as climate change, energy shortages, economic disruption, and political dysfunction.
Transition groups work to increase local self reliance and resilience, while maintaining a fulfilling and inspiring local way of life.
For more information, call Ken Lawrence at 419-358-0572. Lawrence and his wife, Sarah Brenner, a Bluffton University graduate, moved to Bluffton in 2014 from Madison, Wisc., where they were involved in another In Transition group.
"We thought there might be people in Bluffton interested in seeing this movie and hearing about this organization," said Lawrence.
