Richard "Dick" Cole 1935-2016
Richard "Dick" Glenn Cole, 80, died June 2, 2016, at 8:36 a.m. at Bluffton Hospital Emergency Room. Richard was born July 24, 1935, in Lima to the late Robert and Elinor (Giberson) Cole. He was married to Carman Cole and she preceded him in death. On April 1, 2005, he married Betty (Crow) Cole who survives.
Richard retired as a concrete mixer driver from Ernst Concrete, Lima.
Survivors also include four sons, Eli Neri of Hebron, Kentucky, Dick Cole, Jr. of Lima, Robby Cole of Lima, Dan (Tana) Cole of Lima; a daughter, Dalpha (Jeff) Stumbaugh of Lima; three step-daughters, Pamela Burkholder of Lima, Teresa (Tim) Thompson of Bluffton, Cathy (Mark) Hunter of Bluffton; 12 grandchildren, Shawn (Megan) Stumbaugh, Melisa (Todd) Stumbaugh, Lisa (Marc) Winegardner, Dylan Cole, Jessica Cole, Ashley (Frank) Cumelia, Brittney (Michael) Neri, Jamie Sorg, Jeremy Hatch, Kristyn Davis, Justin Hunter, Jessica (Andrew) Courtney; 20 great grandchildren and a sister, Janis (Dave) Betts of Lima.
Richard was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Cole.
Services will be held Tuesday June 7, at 11 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Kevin Mohr officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton following the service. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
