Maple Crest will host LeadingAge Ohio regional art and writing show June 14
Almost 1,000 seniors from across the state are putting finishing touches on manuscripts, poems, paintings, sculptures and other works of art in preparation for the annual regional and state-wide Art and Writing Shows sponsored by LeadingAge Ohio.
Maple Crest, 700 Maple Crest Court, Bluffton, will host the Northwest Region competition on Tuesday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Patio Room.
The LeadingAge Ohio Art and Writing Shows display works of seniors with years of artistic experience right alongside those who are just beginning to explore their craft.
The shows celebrate the creative vibrancy and passion of these senior artists, all of whom are residents or clients of LeadingAge Ohio member facilities. Local judges select first, second, third place and honorable mention entries in each of 19 categories, and award ribbons are distributed to the winners.
All show attendees are invited to vote for the winner of the ever popular People’s Choice Award.
Winning works at the regional shows will be entered in the state competition as part of the LeadingAge Ohio Annual Conference and Trade Show scheduled for mid-September at the Hilton Columbus Downtown.
LeadingAge Ohio is the trade association for providers of mission drive value-based senior living services throughout the state.
The show will be open to the public. For more information, contact Debbie Mohr at 419-358-1015, ext. 106.
