Bluffton's Riley Creek Arbor service club receives charter
Bluffton has a new service club.
It’s Riley Creek Arbor, formed this spring by Gary Reese of Faith Investment Services of Bluffton.
“This arbor is associated with Gleaner Life Insurance Society based in Adrian, Michigan,” said Reese. “An arbor is a local service club, organized and operated by Gleaner members. Gleaner supports the arbors with matching funds and donations to charities of their choice."
Riley Creek Arbor held a start-up dinner on June 2 at Jeanne’s Kitchen.
Three community volunteers were recognized at the dinner, including Misha Groman, Paul Ginther, and Fred Steiner.
Groman was recognized for the renovation of the Benroth Bridge in Bluffton, in conjunction with the Eagle Scout project.
Ginther was recognized for his influence and involvement with youth in the Bluffton and Pandora, and Steiner was recognized for his impact and leadership with the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.
Each received an engraved clock and a lifetime membership to Gleaner, which includes a $5,000 accidental death policy.
The officers of the new Arbor are Gary Reese, president; Shannon Reese, vice president; Scott Basinger, treasurer; Kathi Dunlap, secretary and reporter; and Lynda Rodabaugh, chaplain.
The group is open to Gleaner members. Membership forms can be obtained through Faith Investment Services by email at [email protected].
Faith Investment Services has been in business since 2003 and recently opened an office at 122 N. Main St., Bluffton, where Reese holds client conversations by appointment only.
