Food and entertainment part of Saturday's Ride to Remember - you're invited
STILL TIME TO REGISTER TO RIDE -
CHECK OUT THE 10, 23 AND 63 MILE ROUTES AT BOTTOM OF STORY.
Here's your invitation to come out to the Bluffton swimming pool on Saturday for some music, and hamburgers off the grill while you watch the bikers come back from their Rides to Remember bike ride.
• The Dough Hook will be grilling hamburgers and MooOink burgers on the grill and will offer a selection side dishes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the pool.
• Jim Boedicker, a familiar performer at the Bluffton Famers' Market, will entertain the bikers and you with his unique singing style also from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Last year's inaugural Ride had 101 bikers. Organizers for this year predict more bikers participating.
An 8 a.m. mass start takes place at Bluffton Family Recreation on Snider Road. The mass start includes a “parade” of riders southbound on Main Street to the Dairy Freeze where various routes split.
There's still time to register to ride. There are routes all the way from 1 mile to 100 miles.
Proceeds from the ride support the pathway and bike path program in Bluffton.
Below are three of the route maps, just as example of options available on Saturday.
