The Mount Cory and Pleasant View United Methodist churches will host a community Vacation Bible School, August 8-12 at the Mount Cory United Methodist Church, 300 N Main St., Mount Cory. This year's theme is "Adventures on Promise Island.”

Children, ages 4 through 7th grade, are welcome to attend. A pre-registration will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 5:30 - 7 p.m., at the Mount Cory Park during "National Night Out”.

 At 10 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 14, there will be a joint service at Mount Cory for both churches, featuring the VBS youth.  A lunch will follow at the Bethel Family Life Center.
