Matt Gillett offers performance training for young athletes
This fall, Bluffton Family Recreation offers performance training for athletes ages 12 to 18.
Programs of four sessions each are available lead by Matt Gillett.
A Developmental Program, for youth ages 12 to 14, offers an introduction to performance training and adds a sport-specific component.
A Prep Program, for youth ages 15 to 18, offers a high-performance training program covering all aspects of athletic performance.
Participants may sign-up for all four sessions or selected sessions. Cost is $30 per 1-hour session, $20 per 30-minute session or save $20 and take all four sessions for $100.
This past spring Gillett has joined BFR as its a sports coordinator and personal trainer. Gillett is a 2012 Bluffton High School graduate. In December he graduated from Anderson (Ind.) University with a degree in exercise science.
In his role as a personal trainer he will assist persons of all ages to focus on fitness goals. He will also lead agility clinics with middle school and high school athletes.
