Bluffton food pantry in needs of supplies
The Bluffton Area Food Pantry has distributed food and other essential supplies to approximately 50 area families this summer.
The panty’s supplies are running a bit low and could use some reinforcements, according to Ed Yeager, board president of the Bluffton Community Assistance Program.
Item may be delivered to St. John’s United Church of Christ. The next distribution day is Saturday, Sept. 17.
Here is a list of items the food pantry welcomes as donations:
• tuna
• baked beans
• hamburger and tuna helper
• peanut butter
• cereals of all kinds
• canned fruits – especially mandarin oranges
• macaroni and cheese
• spaghetti products – both noodles and sauces
• Spaghettios and similar products
• chunky soups such as Progresso or Campbell’s Chunky
• Kleenex tissues
• paper towels
• lotions
“The pantry is grateful to the Bluffton community and churches for being willing to pitch in and help out when help is needed,” said Yeager.
