16 non-profits benefit from Bluffton legion's charitable golf scramble
Sixteen area non-profit organizations received shares of proceeds from this summer’s Bluffton American Legion 7th annual charitable golf scramble.
That event generated over $7,000. Co-chair the golf outing were Fred Arnold and Sam Reineke.
Organizations receiving donations from the legion included:
• Allen County Abilities Baseball League
• Allen County Veterans Food Pantry
• Allen County Blue Star Mothers
• Beaverdam Veterans Memorial
• Bluffton Diamond Sports
• Bluffton Family Recreation
• Bluffton Community Assistance Program
• Bluffton Boy Scout Troop 256
• Bluffton Girl Scouts
• Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, Ottawa
• Honor Flight of Findlay
• Ohio SPCA, Lima
• American Legion Operation Comfort Warriors
• Bluffton American Legion Post Oratorical candidate
• Ohio American Legion Scholarship Fund
• Urbana/Champaign Aviation Museum
The legion announced the date for next year’s 8th annual charitable golf scramble. It is Saturday, June 3.
Persons representing 16 organizations receiving donations inclluded Tom Green, Gary Crawfis, Bill McClain, Jim McClain, Amanda Sizemore, Jan Weaver, Shawn Rayle, Rachael Staley, Deb Wickerham and Ed Yeager.
