If you can spell, you can enter the library's adult spelling bee
Your next word to spell is: "Tuesday."
May I have it in a sentence please: "The second annual Bluffton Public Library adult spelling bee is Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m."
That's correct. Bluffton Public Library invites adults patrons to join in its second annual spelling bee.
Jessica Hermiller, library administrator said, "This fun competition promotes community literacy and features several prizes for participants to win, including a cash grand prize."
The fee to register is $4, and half of this fee will go toward the cash grand prize. The other half is a fundraiser for educational programs and services in the library.
To compete, stop by the library's front desk to fill out a registration form and pick up a study pamphlet.
Competitors must be over 13, and must register by Saturday. Sept. 17. This year the guest MC is Elizabeth Hostetler, library board president. Photography at the bee is by Elysian Fields Photography.
