September 10, 2016
BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team hosted Marygrove College on a rainy Saturday, Sept. 10, at Alumni Field. The home opener saw the Beavers drop a 4-0 decision to the Mustangs in a match that was played with a modified nine v. nine format due to numerous injuries for both squads.
Marygrove netted a pair of goals each half, all by Whitney Cole, for a 4-0 victory on the turf.
Sophomore Skylar Liming (St. Marys/Memorial) ripped seven shots, including six on frame, while senior Beth Snyder (Akron, NY/Akron Central) chipped in with four. Freshman keeper Courtney Davis (Richmond, MI/Richmond) finished with two saves.
Bluffton returns to the pitch on Wednesday, Sept. 14, when the Beavers host Oberlin at 5 p.m. Come out and support your Beavers!
