Weisgarber named HCAC Player of Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University senior Lauren Weisgarber (Bolivar/Tuscarawas Valley) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week following a pair of victories by the Beavers. She led Bluffton to a win over Earlham in the Heartland Conference opener on Wednesday and a non-league victory at Denison on Friday night.
Weisgarber hit .439 with 20 kills and just two errors as the Beavers defeated Earlham in three sets and Denison in four sets, both on the road. The four-year starter at middle was also in on six blocks. In Wednesday's victory at Earlham, Weisgarber had a dominating performance, pounding 11 kills with no errors on a paltry 19 swings for a ridiculous .579 hitting percentage!
The Beavers travel to Defiance College on Wednesday night for a matchup with the rival Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, Oct. 5. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. in the Weaner Center. Click here for Live Stats.
