Soccers earns NSCAA Team Academic Awards

NSCAA Team Academic Awards Winners
BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University was recently recognized by the NSCAA for outstanding performance in the classroom during the 2015-16 academic year. The men's and women's soccer teams both received the NSCAA Team Academic Award, making Bluffton one of just 221 institutions to have both soccer teams honored.
A total of 892 soccer teams (315 men, 577 women) from throughout the United States earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2015-16 academic year.
To qualify for the award, a soccer team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing the number of players.
Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2016, the National Soccer Coaches association was founded in 1941 and is based in Kansas City, Mo. It is a non-profit organization with the mission of advocating for, educating and serving soccer coaches to encourage excellence and elevate the game.
