Men's Soccer drops 4-0 decision at Hanover

HANOVER, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie at the break, but Hanover netted four tallies in the second period for a 4-0 victory on Saturday, Oct, 15. Bluffton fell to 3-11 on the season with a 0-5 mark in the Heartland Conference, while Hanover improved to 11-3 and 4-1 in the HCAC.,
Matthew Eldridge broke through in the 58th minute, putting Hanover up 1-0 before a flurry of goals made the score 4-0 with just over 11 minutes to play.
Senior keeper Matt Hardman-Zimmerman (Forest City, Penn.) notched seven saves as Hanover outshot the visitors by a 26-2 margin. The home team was whistled for three more fouls (11-8) and the Panthers forced 12 more corner kicks (14-2).
Bluffton returns to the Sears Complex for a 3:30 p.m. matchup with Anderson University on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Come out and support your Beavers!
